Childhood Trauma and Yogic Counseling

In the world of modern counselling, the balance between brain science and the mysteries of the human mind can be elusive. A recent Yogic Counseling session shed light on an individual's perception of "childhood trauma," which she attributed to her struggles with love, loneliness, and mood swings. It became clear that a previous counsellor had influenced her, reshaping her memories. Human memory's fragility was evident, especially during emotional turmoil. This article explores how Yogic Counseling, akin to an OS for the mind, offers a path to healing by understanding consciousness. It emphasizes the importance of navigating pain, finding accountability, and achieving inner peace.

In the world of modern counselling, a delicate balance often eludes us—an intricate dance between understanding the brain and delving into the depths of the mind’s mysteries. Within this realm, consciousness can be reduced to a mere flicker, overshadowed by the complexities of psychological analysis.

A Compassionate Journey Through Childhood Trauma

During a recent session of Yogic Counseling, a profound encounter unfolded—a conversation with an individual burdened by what she perceived as “childhood trauma.” She firmly believed that she had endured abuse during her formative years, attributing this supposed trauma to her current struggles with love, loneliness, mood swings, and financial stability.

As our dialogue unfolded, it became apparent that she had unknowingly been influenced by a previous counsellor. This therapist had somehow concluded with the idea that her struggles stemmed from an external “childhood trauma.”

It is a well-established fact that human memory can be fragile, particularly when the mind is in turmoil. Perception often diverges from reality, allowing memories to be reshaped as the mind deems fit.

Mind as the Operating System & Brain as Hardware

In many ways, the relationship between the mind and brain is similar to the interplay between an operating system (OS) and hardware in a mobile phone or even a computer. The hardware processes data, while the OS and software can influence the journey of information from temporary to permanent memory.

This illusion began to unravel when I encouraged her to revisit her childhood memories as she remembered them. We then explored those memories coloured by the notion of fabricated abuse. Remarkably, she retained vivid recollections of a loving childhood spent with her family.

This journey underscored a fundamental truth—the mind is an intricate and sometimes unreliable mechanism, often devoid of accountability. It can be adept at shifting blame onto external factors and even fabricate memories to justify those blame. But when the mind is calm – it can even understand the

Yogic Counseling as a Path to Healing

The pursuit of peace emerges as a vital necessity, not as a mere choice. We must learn to embrace accountability and navigate pain, suffering, and trauma in ways that do not hinder our future progress.

This is at the core of Yogic Counseling—an approach that dives deep into the intricacies of the mind. It seeks to unlock inner peace with remarkable ease. Yogic Counseling doesn’t just offer solutions to internal and external challenges; it provides a profound understanding of the mind.

Through this journey, we learn to navigate the path to peace and self-discovery, carefully balancing the complexities of our consciousness. In this delicate process, we find the harmony we seek, a balance between acknowledging our past and paving the way to a brighter, more harmonious future.
